Welcome to the Forgotten North
Where every shadow tells a story.

Where forgotten kings whisper through the frost,
where steel remembers every battle,
and the night carries the echo of ancient gods.

Here, the legacy of the Viking Kings
still breathes beneath the cold sky.

Floki the carpenter

Floki the carpenter

Floki the Carpenter was not a myth - he was history.

His real name was Hrafna-Flóki Vilgerðarson, a 9th-century Norse shipbuilder and explorer from Norway.

Floki was known for his deep understanding of the sea, wood, wind, and fate - skills that allowed the Vikings to travel farther than anyone before them.

He earned the name “Raven-Floki” by using ravens as navigational tools. Releasing them at sea, he followed their flight to land — a method as bold as it was brilliant in an age without maps or compasses.

Floki deliberately set sail west and became the first Norseman to intentionally reach Iceland. The land was harsh, raw, and unforgiving. After witnessing fjords frozen solid during winter, he named the island Ísland - “the land of ice.”

Unlike the dramatized version seen in modern TV series, the historical Floki was less madness and more mastery — a man driven by knowledge, craftsmanship, and respect for nature’s power.

Floki’s legacy is not just discovery.

It is the Viking spirit itself: to build strong, trust the unknown, and follow courage beyond the horizon.

  • Liquid bravery approved by Odin

In the North, every drink has its own soul.
    Some taste like courage,
    some like trouble,
and some like that one bad idea that still becomes a great story.

But modern rules say we must call them all “beer”.
    Not mead, not warrior’s brew,
not “liquid bravery approved by Odin” —
    just beer.
    Fine. Beer it is.

Still, every can carries its own legend,
    its own flavour,
and the spirit of a Viking king who definitely
    didn’t care about regulations.

    So raise your drink.
If the gods smile, have another.
If they don’t… definitely have another.
