Welcome to the Forgotten North
Where every shadow tells a story.

Where forgotten kings whisper through the frost,
where steel remembers every battle,
and the night carries the echo of ancient gods.

Here, the legacy of the Viking Kings
still breathes beneath the cold sky.

King Vladimir the Great

King Vladimir the Great

VLADIMIR THE GREAT

The ruler who changed the course of history.

Born into Viking lineage, Vladimir the Great (c. 958–1015) was the son of the legendary warlord Sviatoslav I and a member of the Rurik dynasty. Raised in a world of iron, blood, and ambition, he began his reign as a fierce pagan warrior-king, ruling with strength, conquest, and uncompromising will.

As Grand Prince of Kyivan Rus (980 -1015), Vladimir united scattered tribes, secured trade routes, fortified key cities like Kyiv and Novgorod, and expanded his realm from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea. His rule brought order to a land shaped by constant war, turning a loose federation of tribes into a powerful and recognized state.

Yet Vladimir’s greatest legacy was not forged by the sword.

In 988, after seeking a faith strong enough to unite his people, Vladimir made a decision that would echo through centuries. He accepted Eastern Orthodox Christianity, was baptized in Chersonesus (Crimea), and married Princess Anna of Byzantium, linking Kyivan Rus to one of the greatest empires of the age. He then ordered the mass baptism of his people in the waters of the Dnieper River.

This act transformed the spiritual, cultural, and political future of Eastern Europe.

After his conversion, Vladimir ruled not only as a conqueror, but as a lawgiver and builder. He raised the first stone churches, promoted education and literacy, softened brutal laws, and replaced vengeance with order. For this, he was later honored as “Equal to the Apostles”, a rare title reserved for those who changed the destiny of nations.

Vladimir the Great - Viking Kings Beer

This beer is brewed in honor of his legacy.

Strong as the warrior he once was.

Deep as the vision that reshaped a civilization.

Enduring as the faith and culture he left behind.

Not just a beer.

Not just a king.

A legacy forged in history and honored in every sip.

  • Liquid bravery approved by Odin

In the North, every drink has its own soul.
    Some taste like courage,
    some like trouble,
and some like that one bad idea that still becomes a great story.

But modern rules say we must call them all “beer”.
    Not mead, not warrior’s brew,
not “liquid bravery approved by Odin” —
    just beer.
    Fine. Beer it is.

Still, every can carries its own legend,
    its own flavour,
and the spirit of a Viking king who definitely
    didn’t care about regulations.

    So raise your drink.
If the gods smile, have another.
If they don’t… definitely have another.
