King Svend Harkbeard
ABOUT THE KING
Sven Harkbeard was the first Viking King on the British throne. He got his nickname because of the special way he cut his beard and moustache. Sven was a typical Viking warrior, he was baptized into Christianity, although the fact of baptism Sven treated purely formally, still worshipping pagan gods, and at crucial moments he brought them generous sacrifices.
